About

The Columbus Community Kollel

A 'Kollel' is a center staffed by seasoned, educated, and highly motivated scholars to make high quality Jewish education available to all segments of the Jewish community and to inspire Jews to strengthen their connection to their heritage. In 1994, a number of lay and Rabbinic visionaries founded a local Kollel to provide Columbus with the educational opportunities and vibrancy available in the many communities with an active Kollel.

Rabbi Henoch Morris, Rosh Kollel (Dean) of the Columbus Community Kollel, holds a Masters of Talmudic Law from Ner Israel Rabbinical College, a BA in business administration from Towson State University, and a CPA from the state of Maryland. He previously served in Ner Israel as Sho'el U'mayshiv, a mentor who guides college age students through the complexities of their Talmudic studies, and as an editor of the Schottenstein Edition of the Talmud, a contemporary English translation and elucidation of the Talmud
